Range Rules:

UPON ENTRY:

CASED FIREARM IS TO BE PRESENTED TO THE RANGEMASTER AT THE DUTCH DOOR.

RANGE MASTER WILL OPEN THE CASE AND INSPECT FIREARM AND AMMO.

Range Rules:

Rim-fire pistols/rifles, center fire pistols and rifles up to .338 caliber
are allowed.

Shotguns and full-automatic firearms are prohibited. Tracer,
armor piercing, and steel core ammunition are prohibited.

Outside ammunition is not allowed. (Only range-approved Total Metal Jacket ammunition from Texas Guns and Texas Thunder Range is approved.)


You must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by an adult to
participate. Shooters must be at least 12. Anyone under 21 years of age is
prohibited from possessing or shooting handguns at this range without
parental supervision.


There is a $25.00 charge for each round shot into ceiling, walls, floor or range
equipment (hanger/rail, etc.)


3 strike rule: Three holes expels shooter with no refunds.


Keep firearms pointed downrange at all times.


On any malfunction, such as a popping or snapping sound with absence of
recoil or any mechanical problem; keep the firearm level and pointed down
range during the required procedure to correct the problem. If you need
assistance, keep the Firearm in your hand and pointed down range and alert
the Range Master by raising your hand.


Only firearms in perfect working condition will be allowed on the Range.
Pregnant women are prohibited.


Alcohol or drugs before or during shooting is prohibited.


Head and groin shots are not allowed.


Do not shoot another shooters target.


Long pants, closed toe shoes and a closed blouse are required. No
shorts/skirts, sandals, open toe shoes or low-cut or high-rise (midriff)
blouses/shirts are allowed.


Other than range master inspection, firearms will not be handled anywhere
in the building except on the firing line.


Shooters must wear safety glasses and hearing protection prior to entering
the range area.


Shooters may move to the firing line only when given permission by the
range officer. The red line is the firing line.

The yellow line is the safety line. Shooters will remain behind the yellow
line until given the command to move to the Red Firing Line. Firearms will
not be operated from the Yellow Ready Line or any other area that is not
the Red Firing Line.


All firing will stop when the cease fire command is given.


When ready to leave, place the unloaded firearm on the bench, with the
muzzle pointed down range and action open, ejection port or cylinder up,
and magazine removed. Signal a Range Safety Officer, we will confirm the
firearm is clear and package the firearm for departure.


Immediately notify a Range Safety Officer of any safety violation. Safety
is the responsibility for all of us at Texas Thunder Range.
